Townsville Custom Cabinets was built on a simple belief: cabinetry in North Queensland has to be made for North Queensland, not shipped in from a southern catalogue. After more than 12 years on the tools across the region, we have fitted out homes from the character Queenslanders of North Ward and Hyde Park to brand-new builds in Kirwan, Kelso and Deeragun, and we have learned exactly what our climate does to a kitchen. Townsville's Dry Tropics wet season is deceptive: around 1,100mm of rain falls in a year, but it arrives in a violent burst, and the ten days to 8 February 2019 alone dumped more than 1,259mm on the Aero station and pushed the Ross River Dam past 248 per cent. That is why we build the way we do, and why we would rather have an honest conversation about what timber cabinetry can and cannot survive than sell you something that fails. Being local and owner-operated means the person who quotes your job is the person who builds it, and who you can ring afterwards.
